Classes 1 and 2 have been thinking about harvest and we enjoyed telling the story of `The Little Red Hen.` We were fantastic at telling the story with story boxes and the storyboard, as well as acting out the story in the role play area. We had fun singing the song, `Five Currant Buns In A Baker`s Shop`.

Mrs Blake brought her bread maker to school and we enjoyed measuring out the ingredients. We kneaded our own bread and baked it in the oven. It smelt and tasted delicious!

We made a display of the story by collaging and printing the characters and the setting. It looked fantastic on display by the hall and it was admired by everyone on their way to collective worship.

Some of the children enjoyed a visit from Ruth, our Curate who brought in different types of harvest bread for us to see. We said a prayer to say thank you for all the lovely harvest food we enjoy.
