School Year:

It’s fun in Year 2!!

By Miss Buckland on 14th November 2011

Year 2 are continuing to have great fun. Here are just some of things that Year 2 have been up to:

Literature Festival

On Tuesday 11th October Year 2 visited the Literature Festival at Cheltenham Town Hall. We listened to a talk by James Mayhew a famous author and illustrator. James started his talk by painting a picture but he didn’t use a paint brush. He used his hands!

James then told us a story about a dragon and a castle and drew a picture at the same time. We all thought this was very clever.

At the end of talk we were allowed to ask questions. Many of the children from Leckhampton Primary School were lucky enough to pose their questions!

Life bus

We were all very excited to be going onto the Life Bus again. When we got inside we learnt that it was Harold’s birthday and he was having a party! We helped Harold get ready for his party and even sang some party songs but one of Harold’s friends was feeling sad. We suggested ways to try and make him feel happy. Year 2 came up with some great suggestions and it wasn’t long before everyone was joining in with the party fun. We also explored parts of the human body by meeting Tam.
