Year 2 Staff and children have had a fantastic start to the new academic year.
On our very first afternoon together we got creative with our ‘100 square art’ pictures which are now displayed in our classrooms.

Our topic for this term ‘Famous Faces’ has prompted trips into attics to retrieve copies of newspapers and magazines from the Moon Landings of 1969! The children have been intrigued by the diary of Samuel Pepys and that fateful day in 1666. We look forward to learning more about other famous faces over the coming weeks. . . .
We have also been thinking about what we would like to be famous for with ideas ranging from famous football and rugby players to dolphin riders and pop stars!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Experience Harvest trip to St Peter’s church and are now looking forward to seeing James Mayhew at the Cheltenham Literature Festival 2011.
