School Year:

Class 10 Assembly

By Mrs Morris on 14th November 2011

On Thursday 10th November class 10 performed our class assembly to the school.  Our theme for this term’s worship is Generosity and our assembly focussed on the joy of being generous .

Our assembly contained a poem written by Isabel, thoughtful ideas about what being generous means, a play, a dance and some sketches. We also showed our clay pots, which we made at Experience Harvest during our visit to St Peter’s Church, where we learnt that giving gifts can be better than receiving them.

The main story we told was that of a very generous sheep called Millie, played by Jasmine Davies.  Millie gave all her wool away to her animal friends to help to keep them warm, even though it meant that she ended up being very cold!

In the middle of our play some children performed a wonderful snowflake dance which they choreographed themselves.

At the end of our assembly, to show what a generous class we are, we handed out homemade gift boxes and bags to the teachers, made by Innes and Max.

Everybody worked really hard and spoke clearly and confidently, Mrs Morris was very proud of her class of budding actors!!
