Nature in Art
20th June 2013On Wednesday 12th June, Year 3 had a very enjoyable trip to Nature In Art near Twigworth. During the day, all of the children enjoyed a range of different activities. They explored the sculptures in the grounds and enjoyed spending time sketching what they saw. They looked around the various exhibits in the museum including a fascinating collection of evening dresses designed around birds! We visited the resident artist, Kim Thompson, and asked her questions about her animal based paintings and drawings. We also used wire and special paint to make some lovely flower sculptures which will be on display in school soon. All in all, we had a great day with lots of fun and learning.
