The Pied Piper of Leckhampton!

Year 3 have had a wonderful time rehearsing and performing their production of The Pied Piper. They performed to the school on Tuesday and performed twice to parents and families on Wednesday. Everyone was amazed by how well the children acted their parts and how enthusiastically they sang so many wonderful songs. The rats, led by Big Cheese, were particularly mischievous while the Mayor and councillors gave us a good insight into the world of politics! The birds danced beautifully and the children played and sang sweetly while the grown-ups finally learnt why it is important to keep a promise. Peter learnt that being last is not necessarily a bad thing and the Piper taught everyone a valuable lesson. Mr Carbin and Miss Gill would like to congratulate all the children on an amazing performance – we are very proud of you all! We would also like to thank Mrs McGrath and Mrs Maurice for all their hard work making costumes and scenery as well as thanking everyone else who helped us in any way, no matter how small. A huge well done to everybody for a truly memorable performance.
