Visit from a local Historian
11th June 2014Year 3 were very pleased to welcome Eric Miller on Monday 9th June. Mr Miller is the chairman of Leckhampton’s Local History Society and came to support the children in their learning about how the area of Leckhampton has changed over time. He showed us some pictures of Leckhampton now and in the past, giving lots of interesting information about Leckhampton Court, St Peter’s Church and our own school as well as telling us about the Devil’s Chimney and the potteries that used to exist. He also answered some of the questions the children had about the local area. We would like to thank Mr Miller for giving up his time to come and talk to us and for giving us so much interesting information.
