Volcanoes

Class 9 have been making volcanoes out of newspaper trips and other bits. Our first lesson was about making the basic shape of our volcanoes by scrunching up balls of newspaper and attaching them together with tape. The next lesson we covered strips of newspaper with glue and stuck them on to our basic shape.

By the time the next lesson arrived the glue had formed a hard shell so we were able to paint them in grey or brown.

In the final lesson we will be adding layered tissue paper to create lava lakes and streams.
