Year 1 visit to the Cheltenham Literary Festival

On Tuesday 7^th October the whole of Year 1 climbed excitedly on to the double-decker bus for a trip to the Town Hall. With our lunch in our racksacks and smiles on our faces we were shown to our seats in a big tent in an enormous park.

The lights went down and Kristina Stephenson walked on to the stage. Then she read us the story of “Charlie Stinky-Socks and the Pirate’s Curse”. We thought the story was fantastic and we think Kristina is a brilliant author. Miss Hartley loves how she sings every day and some of us do too! We loved marching on our seats and waving our fierce swords, “RRRRRAAAAHHHHH”!

Afterwards, some of us had our books signed and then we ate our lunch in a special room.

We had a lovely time and we look forward to going again.
