Hoses and stethoscopes

We have had a wonderful few weeks in Reception, welcoming lots of ‘People who help us’ in to our classrooms.

On Monday 7th November we met firefighters who brought along their magnificent fire engine.  We had a go in the cab and enjoyed trying on the helmets and oxygen masks.  We then used the fireman’s hose and enjoyed seeing the fire engine’s lights in action.

Then on Tuesday 15th November we had a visit from Doctor Campbell.  He showed us some of the equipment he uses to help his patients like stethoscopes, thermometers and tongue depressors.  We had prepared lots of fabulous questions to ask him and all listened really carefully to his answers.

Thank you so much to the firefighters and to Doctor Campbell for coming to visit us.  We are now looking forward to a visit from the Police ….photographs to follow soon!
