Outdoor Learning Day
18th November 2016As part of our Prehistory topic the children were asked to create a Bronze Age/ Iron Age settlement in the school grounds from materials collected in the environs. As the photos illustrate, the children made some fantastic settlements using a range of things found.
The children were shown how to cut and use turf to help them with their settlements. It was lovely to see (and hear) the children working collaboratively. The important skills of learning to manage risk and problem solving were all in evidence on the day.
