Year 3 visit to the Literature Festival

On Friday 7th October Year 3 went to see Martin Maudsley at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.  Martin explained to the children that he travels around telling stories that he has heard as well as stories he has created. Two girls from Chestnut were invited up to the front to help Martin with one of his songs and one lucky birthday girl in Poplar had a character in one of the stories named after her. We all got to join in with his stories, singing songs and performing actions and a fun time was had by all!
