Year 4 River Trip

As part of our Geography unit on rivers and mapping, we gave the children in Year 4 the challenge of making their own way to Sandford Park using maps and pre-written instructions. The aim was to reach the park to then take part in a river study and consider land use around the park too.

Children took pictures en route to the park to prove that they had correctly made their way on one of the 3 pre-organised routes. They did a great job and thoroughly enjoyed being given the independence to find their way outside of school. Luckily, no-one got lost too!
