British Values Day

On 25th September, 2015Leckhampton Primary School celebrated its first British Values Day. British Values are interwoven through the curriculum and are as follows;

• democracy
• the rule of law
• individual liberty
• mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith

During our lessons, different year groups looked at what makes Britain British, famous landmarks, the justice system, traditional games, Her Majesty the Queen, our rights and responsibilities, what makes Britain unique, what makes us unique and lots more.

The day certainly made us think about the part we play in our School community and how we can make Britain a better place for everyone. Look out for our giant Union Jack flag which will be completed soon!
