Cross Country Report

On Thursday 17^th November, a team of twenty four children from Leckhampton Primary School entered the Cheltenham District Primary Schools Cross-Country competition.  The event was held at St Edward`s Junior School on a beautiful sunny day – very unusual weather for a cross country meeting!

All the children raced extremely well and for some it was their first experience of a cross country race.

The boys` race had 185 participants and the first three boys to cross the finish line from Leckhampton were Edgar Gaze in 43^rd place, Sami Horwood in 33^rd place and Oliver Beaney in 21^st place.

The girls` race had 149 participants and the first three Leckhampton girls to finish were Louisa Holland in 22^nd place, Anna Maddocks in 21^st place and Olivia Rook in an incredible FIRST place!

What a fantastic result!  Very well done to all those who took part!

Now for some serious winter training before the next race in the new year……….
