Cycling

Four of our lucky year six children represented Leckhampton Primary School in a cycling event last weekend where they competed against seven other schools. They event took place next to the actual finish line of the Tour of Britain stage, just hours prior to the professional cyclists powered through. This made for an exciting atmosphere in which to perform, as hundreds of spectators gathered to watch the races.

Amelie Gray, Isaac Ewles, Eleanor Whalley and Oliver Agombar had practised on numerous occasions over the summer months in preparation for the tricky Italian Pursuit format and rode like veterans! They performed brilliantly in the time trials and were then able to comfortably win their race. Well done all four of you, everyone within the Leckhampton family is very proud of you!
