Eco Council – Conservation Area
4th July 2013On Wednesday the ECO Council enjoyed the ‘wild’ surroundings of the conservation area to eat their packed lunches. Afterwards the children enjoyed a bit of pond dipping and ‘pooting’ to collect invertebrates. We would like to repeat this activity and conduct an official survey of creatures found in the area. In the 45 minutes we were there we spotted two species of damselfly, tadpoles, frogs, pond snails, pond skaters, some unidentified pond life, several spiders, the larvae of a dragonfly and the exoskeleton of another.
