Exciting Lunchtime Ideas

We have been considering ways to make lunchtimes more fun for all of our children. Since September we have had two teaching assistants working outside at lunchtimes and part of their job is to facilitate play activities with the children.
We are encouraging the children to play some traditional games as well as introducing some new games. Children are going to learn some games in class but please feel free to teach them some games that you may remember from school!
We also held a session where midday supervisors and some children in year 5 and 6 learnt some traditional clapping games. Here are some photos – it is trickier than it looks!

From Monday 16th March we are introducing a 'Craze of the Week'. Each week the children will be able to learn a new game or activity. This week it is French Skipping – have a look at the photos to see how the children got on!
