Music For Youth National Festival 2011

On Monday 4^th July members of the Infant Choir, supported by teachers and families, travelled to the Symphony Hall, Birmingham to take part in the Music for Youth  National Festival 2011. This is the second year that the choir have been invited to perform and everyone was very excited about the event. We had an early start, setting off at 8.15am and arrived in time to have a quick warm up and get ready for the big performance. The choir sang three songs, each performed beautifully.  Mrs Crompton, who leads the Infant Choir, conducted each piece and the children really did her proud! Not only did the choir walk away with a certificate of participation but also an outstanding achievement award from the music mentors. Well done to all who took part!
