Science Day

On Tuesday the 18th of June Shona, Megan, Barnaby, Harry, Sophie and Tommy from Year 6 went to Dean Close to a Science Day which focussed on Sound. They all took part in different science activities and learnt a lot about the different subjects which make up Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Then they also had a chance to look closely at how different animals hear and they looked at how sound waves are made and how they work. They went inside a chapel organ to see how the organ works and even got DNA out of strawberries too!

Many of the children also got a chance to hold the animals and experienced listening to wonderful music played by some of the pupils (sixth formers).

Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed it.
