Scottish International and Gloucester Rugby Player visits Poplar Class

Poplar class were very fortunate to have a visit from Greig Laidlaw on Wednesday 11th November 2015.

He put us through our paces on the rugby field, and taught us some handy skills and drills.

Everybody loved the coaching lesson and Mrs Lomax is excited to practise those skills with the children over the coming weeks in our games lessons. He even showed us just a glimpse of what he can do on the pitch.

He then talked to us about his rugby career, his World Cup experience and his present role playing for Gloucester.

He showed us his World Cup cap, and his Scottish jersey, and answered lots of questions from Poplar.

A great big thank you to Greig for giving up his valuable time to pop in. Maybe we will see him again!
