Summer Concert
16th June 2011On Tuesday 14th June 2011, all the music students, aged 7-11, gathered in the hall for the two-part concert, presenting the talents of the school to the parents.
The children were very excited about playing in front of the parents but some of the children were a bit anxious. Starting the show, Orchestra opened the first half with ‘Jupiter’. The Cellos then played beautifully before handing over to the Violas and Violins. After waves of loud applause, the musicians exited the stage and packed up their instruments.
Meanwhile, Orchestra were preparing to start up for the second time, playing Wallace & Grommit. The Flutes then played, followed by the Clarinets. It was then the turn of Brass to take the stage. They then took their instruments home.
All of the parents thoroughly enjoyed it, but not as much as the children. We would like to thank Miss Hartley, Ms Grover, Mrs Ling, Mr Loveridge, Mrs Gosling, Mrs Philips and all the other people that helped out with the concert. We would also like to thank the children and their parents for giving up their time to go to the concert.
