Swimming Gala 2014

On Thursday 22^nd May 2014, the swimming squad took to the pool at Leisure@Cheltenham to compete in the 2014 Swimming Gala. The children were extremely excited to compete, and despite some nerves, performed exceptionally well and did themselves proud.

Both our Year 5 relay team and Year 6 relay team placed second in their heats which meant that they qualified to compete in the overall final for their respective age group. Out of all the schools that competed, our Year 6 team placed 6^th overall and our Year 5 team placed 3^rd (after some exciting drama!) to earn the bronze medals!

Finally, after cruising through her heats, Katie Estelrich took to the pool for her ‘individual final’. After a thrilling race, Katie managed to finish in third place overall and earned an individual bronze medal!

A massive well done to our entire Gala squad – Mrs Connolley and I are very proud of you all!
