Visit from Grant Mitchell – Severn Trent Water

On Monday 23rd November, 2015 Grant Mitchell from Severn Trent Water visited the school and presented an assembly on saving water. Did you know, for example, that if you leave the tap running whilst you clean your teeth you waste approximately 12 litres of water?! He also spoke about the things we should and shouldnt be putting down our toilets.

Afterwards he met with the newly formed ECO team and conducted a workshop about what to do next. Each child was given a canvas bag full of stickers, pledges, information and water saving ideas. The first step is to conduct a Water Audit in the school. We will be meeting next Monday to discuss other ideas that were put forward. The children will then feedback to their classes.
