Year 6 Choir perform with the Cheltenham Choral Society

On Tuesday December 10th , our wonderful Year 6 Choir performed once again at the Cheltenham Choral Society’s annual Christmas Family Concert.  As always, the children were smiley and eager to sing their hearts out at the Town Hall.  Starting with a lively and rhythmic “Rejoice” the children sang beautifully with secure harmonies and great confidence, lifting all our spirits.  Then the audience were given a real treat with their rendition of “Oh Holy Night”, where Bethan’s solo stole our hearts and the Choir’s  harmonies and high pitched notes were sung with conviction and love.  You could hear their enjoyment in their voices and it was a real treat to be there.  Later on, Isabel and James captured our attention with their beautiful solos from “Child in a Manger Born” and were ably supported by the rest of the Choir who once more sang with warmth and great sensitivity to this gentle piece.

Well done Year 6 – you had me in tears a few times that day!  I am SO proud of you.

Our thanks go to Mrs Thomas and Mrs Bennett for doing a fantastic job at such a busy time of year.  We think you are amazing!
